Board & Management

Board of Directors

Guided by vision and integrity, our Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and oversight, ensuring that every step we take aligns with our mission to uplift communities and drive sustainable change.

The organization is guided by a 5-member Board of Directors, chaired by a dynamic young woman who brings vision, inclusivity, and innovation to its leadership. The Board serves as the highest decision-making body, providing strategic oversight, governance, and long-term direction for the organization’s mission and programs. It ensures that the organization remains aligned with its core objectives while adapting to emerging challenges and opportunities within the development and climate-health space.

The Board convenes formally twice a year; typically at the beginning and end of the year, though members are available for ad-hoc consultations whenever critical issues arise. During these sessions, the Board reviews progress made on existing programs, evaluates financial and operational reports, and provides guidance on new initiatives and partnerships. By doing so, it ensures accountability, transparency, and sustainability in the organization’s operations.

Management Team

On a day-to-day basis, the organization’s operations are managed by the Executive Director, who is responsible for transforming the Board’s strategic direction into actionable plans.

The Executive Director provides overall leadership in program design, implementation, and monitoring, while also spearheading stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and resource mobilization to ensure organizational growth and sustainability.

Supporting the Executive Director is a committed management team that includes a Programmes Coordinator, Finance Manager, and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Manager. Together, they oversee the organization’s key functional areas, ensuring that programs are effectively executed, finances are prudently managed, and impact is systematically measured and reported.

Below this leadership tier are skilled team members comprising Communications Officers, Project Officers, and a Finance and Administrative Assistant, as well as a dynamic group of volunteers and interns who provide additional support. The organization currently maintains a staff strength of Four permanent employees, six volunteers, and two rotational interns. Notably, 65% of the team members are young women aged 21 to 35, reflecting the organization’s commitment to empowering youth and promoting gender inclusivity in leadership and operational roles.

This robust structure, combining strategic governance from the Board with hands-on management by the Executive Director and dedicated staff, ensures the organization operates efficiently, remains mission-focused, and delivers measurable impact within the communities it serves. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, the organization is well-positioned to sustain its relevance and advance its development initiatives effectively.
