In direct response to the severe water challenges in Botingli, WLF constructed and commissioned a mechanized borehole with a solar-powered pump. This intervention benefited over 600 community members, particularly easing the burden on women and children who had to walk long distances to fetch water. A 5-member Water Management Committee was trained to oversee maintenance and community accountability, ensuring long-term sustainability of the project. The initiative dramatically improved health, time efficiency, and school attendance.
